I started High Winds Farm in the winter of 2009 with my boyfriend Randy Divoll. Since I was the one in the relationship who was not fortunate enough to have grown up on a farm I found myself having to educate myself on every aspect of farming.  I am still  having to continually keep learning.  In the Spring of 2010 we opened a retail farm stand in Athol Ma in order to expand our beef and produce market. In the Fall Randy chose to pursue his own farming interests. I have now run my farm on my own for the last year with the help of my children and friends. We will be looking to open up our retail store in the fall of 2011 which will also be the home of the Unta coffee Shop

Stephanie (21) looking good in her jacket that sports the FFA patch
( Not her jacket or her earned patch ) Stephanie is not involved with the farm to much having her own career to attend to, but will help out when asked. She is proud of what we have built and will bring friends by to show them our place.

Ashley (20) and her husky Felony, playing in the snow. Ashley also can't work the farm full time, since she also has a career and attends school. Even with Ashleys busy schedule she will run most of my errands in the summer and help out at the store whenever needed. I have even been able to rely on Ashley to run over to the farm at night in the middle of winter and take care of the animals. A really awful task unless you love farming.

Jacquie (17) and one of our little wethers. Jacquie takes all of our farm photos. Since we started this venture in 09 most of Jacquies free time when not in school has been helping out on the farm.  She worked at our farm stand at our store all summer and helps with the animals in the winter. Although her talents will probably take her off the farm soon, I know I will always be able to count on her to take the photographs for our website and to record our commercials on the radio.
Michael (14) now 15 with Apollo our 2 year old bull. Michael works the farm full time when not in school. Michael has helped with clean up and reconstruction at our one day. Michael runs the farm with me. I actually couldn't have this farm if he wasn't good enough to help me out.
